Tour description
Every day from June 20 to September 12, you can hike the Culinary Delights Trail and enjoy regional delicacies at three refreshment stopsalong the way. As you walk, you’ll take in the natural scenery and the magnificent mountain panorama of the Großes Walsertal. We recommend starting at 8:30 a.m.

Gourmet Stops
- Morning snack at Alpe Steris
The first gourmet stop awaits you at the idyllic Alpe Steris, located directly below the Breithorn and Kellaspitze. At the first gourmet stop, Andrea Schwarzmann’s team will treat you to fine regional delicacies and homemade bread.
Walking time: Cable car ride+ approx. 1 hr 45 min to Alpe Steris
Meal: Small platter with cheese, bacon, and homemade bread, drinks not included

After the first culinary highlight, the hike continues along a beautiful trail toward Alpe Oberpartnom/Breithornhütte. The Bickel family and the team at the Breithornhütte will treat you to a delicious lunch. Let yourself be pampered and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Große Walsertal and the Walserkamm.
Walking time: approx. 1 hour to the Breithornhütte
Meal: Cheese dumplings with salad, plus a drink (elderberry juice or thirst-quencher), excluding additional drinks

The final leg leads via Alpe Unterpartnom and Steinbild back to the mountain station. Take the cable car back to the starting point and the final stop on this culinary hike. A sweet finale to this delightful day awaits you in the biosphärenpark.haus Bistro.
Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours on a farm road, approx. 45 minutes on a footpath to the mountain station + cable car ride
Meal: Farmhouse ice cream (various flavors, 100 ml) and a cup of coffee or tea, excluding additional beverages

Directions
The Culinary Hike Großes Walsertal begins at the valley station of the Sonntag-Stein cable car. You can reach it either by local bus or by car. Parking is available directly at the valley station.
The cable car takes you to Sonntag-Stein in no time. The hike begins at the mountain station. From here, the trail branches off to the right and leads to Steintobel. Shortly after Steintobel, follow the new path and take the farm road through the Bickelwald up to Alpe Steris.
After the first culinary highlight, the route continues along a beautiful hiking trail toward Alpe Oberpartnom/Breithornhütte. Just before the Breithornhütte, there is a short but fairly steep climb to conquer. You’ve made it! The Bickel family and the team at the Breithornhütte will treat you to a delicious lunch.
After a leisurely lunch break, the route heads downhill for the final stage and the last stop. The final stage starts at the Breithornhütte and leads down the road to Alpe Unterpartnom, continuing toward Steinbild and back to the Sonntag-Stein cable car mountain station. A detour to the Echo Wall or the Klangraum.Stein themed trail is recommended. Those who wish to reach the destination more quickly can turn left at Alpe Unterpartnom and descend directly via the footpath to the Sonntag-Stein cable car mountain station. The cable car will take you back to the starting point and to the final stop on this culinary hike. In the bistro of the biosphärenpark.haus, directly across from the valley station, a sweet finale to this delightful day awaits you.
